Preferred Airparts is offering a low time, U.S. Navy surplus W-670-6N, sn 27421. The W670-6N has a dampened crankshaft for smoother operation.
The late Chris D. Stoltzfus of Coatesville, PA purchased this engine as U.S. Navy surplus from their blimp base in Lakehurst, NJ, in 1958-60. The W-670 was used in the Navy’s Goodyear ZNN-GG, G-Class trainer blimp and had the exhaust elbows pointing forward.

This was the lowest time engine of a lot that Chris bought and has been kept in the family until now. He pulled a cylinder on each engine and estimated this one to be less than 100-hours since new or overhaul. See photos of the interior, and bear in mind that this was before modern oils.
It was sprayed with oil decades ago and has been stored inside and collecting dust ever since. It turns over freely and is as pretty on the inside as it is ugly (oil, dust) on the outside! You can see the dampened crankshaft in there.
Included are the Duplex oil pump, scavenge oil pump, dual tach drive, generator step-up drive and exhaust elbows that are original with the engine; plus three clean used SF7RN-1 mags with blocks and an NAR6G carburetor that are not. Also, a Jacobs R755 shielded ignition harness with blocks for a distributor.
This offering includes some extra parts, and tools, to make a package deal for you.
Parts, New, and one of each, unless noted otherwise:
TOOLS, new unless noted otherwise
This is an unusual opportunity for you to build an engine from very low time components, and it includes many of the important tools you will need!
Only $5995 for the engine, parts, tools and exhaust
